Hi guys,

Friday, 19 September 2014

Hi guys,

Even though we are currently having a beautiful – after – summer, I can already feel fall approaching. The schools have started, people have gone back to work and overall the feeling of summer is slowly fading away. On the one hand it makes me sad as I am not looking forward to cold and rainy days. Especially since the summer in Belgium was so bad, I mean I didn’t even get to wear all my recently bought summer clothes! But on the other hand the image of hot chocolates, big fluffy scarves and cosy nights, watching series under a warm blanket with the rain hitting the windows, seem, in a way, appealing as well.

Hi guys,

Two months ago, I came across this really cool DIY, of an item that I had been admiring for five years in one of my all time favourite shows: Gossip Girl. I always used to admire to awesome clothes and settings and every time, this painting of Prada Marfa, which hangs in the "Van Der Woodsens'" loft, used to caught my eye. In a DIY of one of the blogs I follow, it explained how you can easily copy this painting yourself. I doubted for a while, because it requires quite some precision work - which clumsy me isn't really suited for - but two weeks ago, I had a day off and decided to buy the utilities I need and started DIY-ing.

Hi guys,

About a week ago, I had my official graduation ceremony and received my Bachelor in Business Administration diploma. Of course I bought a special dress for the occasion, which I had found during my trip to Rome. I took some pictures during the day itself, but they were mostly with either my graduation gown on or with my friends and family, so I don't want to post those. Therefore I wanted to take a few pictures of my dress when we got home. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived, it had already turned dark, so I asked my brother to take some pictures in our hallway instead haha. Of course the lighting was really bad (read: yellow), so while editing them I played around with some effects and ended up really liking the black and white one! It gives it this "effortless" touch. And I like experimenting and mixing things up a bit. I don't know. Anyways, I was wearing a black and white striped dress with my favorite Zara heels and Hermes clutch. I also decided to go to the hairdresser in the morning, so that he could give me those famous Victoria's Secret curls! I would love to curl my hair like that every day! Unfortunately my hair handles heat, chemicals etc. very bad and already damages so quickly without using any chemicals, let alone if I burn it with 220 degrees every day. Thus I can't, but for such a special occasion, I just had to break the rulezzz ;)

Hi guys,

Remember that in my blazer chic outfit post, I mentioned that for my summer job, the dresscode for all employees is all black? Well this was a day that I had to work. Of course, in the store itself I wasn't wearing my jacket nor scarf. I like all black outfit, just not for every day. But when I added my leather biker jacket and my skull scarf to add a pop of colour, my work outfit turned into an outfit that I would definitely wear on my day off  as well! This scarf is btw on of my favourite scarves and every fall or beginning of spring I take it out! I am a fan of skull in general so these items definitely suit my style!

Hi guys,

Remember how a few daysago I told you how I don't like to have too much "green" on my outfit pictures. Well a last week, I decided to go for a walk in the forest with my boyfriend in order to enjoy the nature and be a bit active. I decided to wear my fake leather leggings with my new sweater dress from Mango. Comfy whilst still looking nice! While we were walking my boyfriend asked me why I wasn't taking outfit pictures?!? (Since I normal beg and annoy everyone to "please take some pictures of me" haha) 1. I don't like green in my pictures and we we're surrounded by nothing else than green and 2. My mindset was on spotting little animals and having a sunday afternoon walk, which means no make up whatsoever (equals no picture time). But then I thought what the heck so I had a little au naturel photo shoot in the forest, explaining aallll the green in my pictures haha! I guess it doesn't hurt for just this once, with the sun shining and all, it actually looks quite nice I think :D

Hi guys,

You probably don't know this but I am currently working in a clothing store in Antwerp as a summer job. Earning some extra money is very fun and all, but the store has a very strict dresscode which consists of wearing all black everything. Now you know that I love wearing black, however if you have to wear all black. everyday. then it becomes a bit boring after a while. I tried spicing things up by trying out different shoes (which I then got criticized for, because even the shoes need to be black), hairstyles and even lipsticks (totally out of my comfort zone). But still, I miss being able to wear all my other clothes and being creative by trying to create different outfits every time. Therefore on my day of, I was so happy that I had some errands to run, which I could "dress up" for. I called my brother and immediately asked if he could take photos haha! And this is the result. I call it blazer chic. I love these kinds of outfits and always go for this look when the weather is warm enough that I don't need a jacket but I can't wear a dress. Then I just pick a jeans, t-shirt and blazer. I don't know if you've noticed but I often mention how my outfit is simple yet classy/pretty/cool, etc. I think that's just my style. Simple but good. After all, "less is more" didn't become a fashion guideline for nothing ;)

Hi guys,

After having seen outfits and shoplogs of my beautiful weekend in Rome, I wanted to share some random remaining pictures which I took whilst I was in Rome. Because literally every corner you look at and every building you pass by is breathtaking. Seriously, if you are ever wondering to which city to go for a short city trip, choose Rome! Great food, lots of sightseeing, nice people and just overall a great atmosphere!

Hi guys,

Today a second outfit post from Rome. The last day we decided to visit the Vatican and after we just strolled around the amazing city, eating in cute little restaurants and visiting some shops since we had already seen everything which we set out to do. When we arrived at the Vatican I was mesmerized by the beauty of the architecture and found it to be much bigger and impressive than I could remember! Unfortunately we didn't have time to wait in line for three hours or so in order to be able to get in, but we did take a good look and then continued to the bridge of the city which gave a beautiful view of the entire Vatican city.

Today I was wearing an entire new outfit which I had bought in the morning when I actually went out to "just get one t-shirt" because I hadn't bring enough light t-shirt since the wether predictions hadn't been that great. However the sun shone bright in all three days and the temperatures were sky high! Of course my mission of buying one little t-shirt ended up in me buying 4 t-shirts and two skorts, so I decided to wear my new outfit! Later in the day my boyfriend bought me this cute little straw had, a type of hat that I have been wanting to buy for like the past 3-4 years, but never actually "dared" wearing it, until now. And oh I a so happy with it! Haha I was as happy as a baby that day! I also bought some more things, but you will see that one of the upcoming days in a fashion/beauty haul. Btw wow cute is the old Fiat 500 at the end of this post ?!!? :D

Hi guys,

A week ago my boyfriend and I decided to do something crazy and booked a last minute trip to Rome! I had already been to Rome on a high school field trip three years ago and absolutely fell in love with the city! The buildings and architecture are so beautiful and of course the food and people are lovely as well! I also discovered that regarding fashion and beauty there are many cute little shops to be found! The weather was great and just like three years ago, I had a blast in this amazing city! Haha now that I think of it, I wouldn't mind living in Rome for a year or something, viva Italia!

The first day we had an 7AM flight so I wasn't really up for taking outfit pictures due to the lack of sleep and unoriginal outfit haha! But the second day we went through the whole city, visiting the Colosseum, taking a tour in a horse carriage, eating at piazza Navona and visiting the Fontana di Trevi! I wore a  light outfit - which was still too warm for the high temperatures - that consisted of my favourite destroyed jeans shorts, a simple white t-shirt, my leopard slip ons - which I later traded for flip flops -.

Hi guys,

Remember my outfit post from Trieste a few weeks ago? Well today I have one last outfit post for you guys from my time in Croatia before the pictures from Rome will be pouring in ;) This was from the second time we decided to visit Trieste in Italy due to the bad weather in Croatia, however unfortunately the weather in Italy wasn't much better. I was wearing a simple outfit, namely a blue jeans, white t-shirt and black blazer, perfect for a day of shopping. Only the flip flops were a bit too wet for my taste :D

Hi guys,

Today an outfit post with an all white outfit combined with black accessories. I have been in love with the skort trend ever since last year and am still absolutely in love with my white skort from zara! The perks of a short but the looks of a skirt, perfect! I also wore my hair in a fishtail braid which I am absolutely loving this summer! I've always loved this look but was never able to wear it myself since my hair wasn't long enough. Now I can finally make a decent looking braid so I'm making full use of it :)

Hi guys,

Today a very comfy yet elegant outfit! We decided to go out for dinner as my dad would turn 49 at midnight. We went to a restaurant that was recommended by the hotel and Oh My! I have never eaten so good in my entire life! The food was to die for and the view was absolutely amazing! I'm personally not such a meat lover, but the way they prepared it was just delicious! So far in general, the food has been amazing here, as we have been trying out little local restaurants and local specialties. Btw the pictures were not taken at the restaurant, this was right before we left at our hotel ;)

Hi guys,

A few days ago, it was so warm, that I it was almost unbearable to lay in the sun for longer than 15 minutes, so I decided to just lay in the swimming pool all day long! Thus a little photo shoot was inevitable ;) Haha! I really love these pictures, the colors are so vibrant and beautiful! And these were only made with my brother's iPhone, can you imagine?

Hi guys,

Enjoy your lazy sunday! I'm going to lay back in the sun! Here some inspiration pictures that I absolutely love!

Saturday, 19 July 2014

Hi guys,

As you might have read, I am currently spending my summer in Istrie, Croatia. However it is very close to the borders of Slovenia and Italy, so for our first night out with the family, we decided to go to Trieste, which lays in the northern part of Italy. I had never been there before, but the city looks really beautiful Big, beautiful buidlings, great little restaurants, lots of gelato and some nice little shopping areas. We only went for dinner and strolled around through the city, but we'll definitely come back to enjoy some shopping too!

Since the temperatures were still very nice, I decided to wear a white jeans with a simple grey t-shirt, which I recently bought in Forever21. I combined it with my new bag and my favorite leopard slip ons! Perfect for a cosy family night out!

Hi guys,

Yesterday I had my very last presentation of my graduate career. I was quite nervous but in the end it went very well and since this is my last assignment and thus grade for my last year of University, I can say that I am officially graduated! The official ceremony won't be until the 27th of August but I can't be any happier. God these past three years flew by. It's as if it was yesterday that I was in high school celebrating my 17th birthday! However my days as a student aren't over yet as I will do a master next year in Londooooonn!! So excited about that as well! But okay, right now the outfit that I was wearing for my presentation. I wanted to wear something professional but not too boring or stiff and thus choose for a high waisted burgundy skirt combined with a simple white shirt and black heels. Initially I also wore my Pull & Bear blazer over it, but in the end it was too warm so I took it off. And oh, so cute, after everyone's presentation, if you passed it, you would get a pink rose!

Sunday, 6 July 2014

Hi guys,

Yesterday the temperatures had luckily dropped to a normal and relaxing temperature so I could go outside and do some errands, go run, etc. again, after it had been extremely hot the day before. - Don't get me wrong - , I love it when it's 30 degrees, but when you're stuck in your apartment preparing a presentation for school with only a little fan to cool you down? Hmm yeah.. you get my point. Anyways yesterday the weather still nice so I wore a casual outfit. My new grey jeans which I bought in Bershka, my New Balance shoes - which after a year of standing in the closet have now become my absolute favorite sneakers - and my new basic top from Forever21 (shopping haul with all my summer purchases soon to come!). For the ones of you who are wondering where these pictures were taken, I was visiting my boyfriend in Amsterdam so I wanted to take advantage of some new and cool locations to use as a background. Especially since my outfit was quite simple, I wanted a background that would really stand out. This wall is from a nightclub called "Jimmy Woo" who change their wallpainting from time to time, depending on which special events are taking place. Since my boyfriend lives in the centre, I often pass by it and have always thought that the paintings were picture worthy ;) Lately it has been this panther, which I thought looked very cool! The colors look amazing on camera! What do you guys think?

Sunday, 29 June 2014

Hi guys,

Today a casual yet neat outfit, perfect to wear for a day to school or having lunch with some friends. I decided to wear a blue jeans, white t-shirt, my newest blazer, my New Balance shoes - which I've been having for a year now but haven't worn yet - and my newest item of all, this beautiful necklace which I got from Jae Accessories. I think especially in combination with the neutral colors of my t-shirt and blazer, the hot pink color really pops out!

Hi guys,

While I was in Paris, I finally found what I had been looking for, for quite a while now. Slip ons! Okay, initially I wanted snake-print ones, but I saw these leopard print ones in Zara and couldn't resist to take them home with me! I love love love leopard print! I don't know why but every time, I can't seem to fight the urge to buy leopard printed items. Of course, it is risky and can look tacky, but if combined correctly, it can look ultra chic and sexy! So yesterday I couldn't wait to wear my new slip ons in combination with my, currently, favourite white jeans and a simple, silk, black t-shirt together with my golden Ray Ban sunglasses and some subtle bracelets.

Hi guys,

Today a short outfit post of one of the nights that we went out in VIP Room Cannes during the Film Festival. Yesterday I was scrolling through my photo album as I was missing the good times we had, sun, beach, partying, nice food, you get the picture ;) when I noticed that I  had completely forgotten to post this picture of my look when we went to see Snoop Dog in VIP Room. I was wearing a sparkly golden sequin dress with open back together with simple black heels and my Chanel bag. Since the dress was present enough,  I decided to keep the rest simple.

Hi guys,

Currently I'm in Paris for the weekend, visiting a friend, whom I met while I was doing my exchange year in London last semester. The first day we just did a little bit of shopping and I bought a white/crème blazer from Pull & Bear. I had been looking for something like that for quite a while so I was very happy when I saw this one hanging in the store! On day 2 (yesterday), we decided to go to Le Château de Versailles, which is an amazing palace where the king of France used to live. Ever since 1792, the castle has been serving as a National museum that people can visit. Unfortunately due to the long queuing line, we decided not to go inside the castle, but we did spend the day strolling around in the property's huge garden.

Hi guys,

Yesterday we decided to go shopping in Holland with the whole family. As some might know, I am currently back home for the summer in Antwerp (I have been studying in Amsterdam and London for the past three years), which means I finally have access to my whole closet again! Which is funny because I stumble upon all these clothes, which I haven't worn in ages. Today I wore a nice cute dress combined with fringed sandals and a beige blazer. At first it felt so strange to see myself in these cute and light colors, as I have grown more and more towards dark and black outfits over the years. But after a little while it actually felt very comfortable and nice! It made me think of when I was 17 and in high school, man those were the days! Haha ;) Especially the blazer used to be one of my favourite items and I will definitely start wearing this one again! I always love to rediscover clothes in my closet :)

Hi guys,

Today finally a post that wasn't made in a hurry and taken with a good camera :) Today I went to the city to get my phone fixed and had lunch with my dad. The sun was shining while I enjoyed a lovely grilled salmon salad. A perfect relaxing day! I wore a black jeans with a velvet floral print and combined it with a simple white t-shirt, leather jacket and all white sneakers.

Hi everyone,

Today a very short post, a quick picture from an outfit I was wearing the other day to go out. It was a pretty grey-ish floral dress with a leather jacket, heels and - as usual - my Chanel bag. I really love the color of this dress because it makes the floral print a little bit less preppy, but remains a dress that is suitable for the summer!

3 14

Hi everyone,

Yesterday we decided to go and chill on the roof of the 3 14 ("Trois Quatorze") hotel after a heavy night out in Cannes. FYI, we went to watch Snoop Dogg in VIP Room. We've been wanting to go to the 3 14 Hotel since it has a jacuzzi on top of the roof of the hotel, which gives you an amazing view of the beach and sea of Cannes and the beautiful architecture of the famous Carlton hotel. I decided to wear a casual destroyed shorts with a white crop top and my bikini under it combined with my leopard print flip flops.

Thursday, 22 May 2014

Hi everyone,

Say hello to my first post! The pictures aren't perfect since I took them with my phone and we didn't have much time but I still wanted to give you guys a glimpse of what I was wearing! Two days ago I went to Juan Les Pins in the South of French because I wanted to stroll through the cute little boutiques that they have there. Always when I go to the South of France, I definitely go to Juan Les Pins because to go on a little shopping spree. This time unfortunately I didn't buy anything, but in the past I've scored very nice items for very small prices. Even today I still get compliments for my white destroyed jeans which I bought in one of these shops (4!) years ago!

But okay, we're drifting off. Two days ago thus, I decided to go and because the temperatures weren't very high, I decided to go for a black maxi dress which I recently bought in River Island (so happy I finally found one that wasn't too short - story of my life -). Easy and nice! I like one-piece clothing items as you don't have to think it much through, you just slip it on and you're good to go!
